Pioneer College Caterers has a career opening at Oklahoma Wesleyan University Bartlesville, OK for an ambitious service manager looking to take the next step in their management career. Reporting to the food service director, the successful candidate will be a customer service professional with the experience and skill needed to assist in managing the kitchen operations of a very busy, university dining service.
Pioneer is a 43-year-old, nation-wide company with a history of promotion from within. Our clientele are Christian-based colleges and universities. Managing their campus dining programs we serve college students on meal plans, commuter students, faculty members, administrative staff, support staff, campus visitors, and visiting high school students. Position Qualifications:
• 2-3 Years of Experience in customer service and Quantity Food Production
• Catering and Fine Dining experience preferred
• History of On-the-Job Stability
• Pass a criminal background check
Skill Required:
• Willingness to lead staff by being "hands on"
• Ability to manage the day-to-day activities of a busy college dining program
• Oversee the completion of daily set-up, service and clean-up work and all meal production
• Oversee facility set up and assist with food production for ALL special events, to include:
− Receptions, plated meals, large buffets, intimate fine dining meals
• Responsible for managing labor cost to budget
• Manage food quality on all the service stations for each meal period throughout the front of the house service points and action stations:
− Bakery, salad bars, deli, main line, demo, rotisserie, pizza, etc.
• Ensure all safe-food handling standards from receiving to serving are followed
• Presentation of all products meets Pioneer's Presentation Standards
• Food safety using time and temp controls / tracking
• Professional comportment and appearance is expected at all times
